Adel Frost is the firstborn son of the Frost family and Edel's older twin brother.

Background[]

Adel and Edel Frost were born twins, with Edel being born moments after her twin brother. Being male and firstborn, Adel should have been the one to carry on the family tradition by becoming a swordsman and reviving the name of his family. However, Adel suffered from a debilitating disease and could not leave his home.

Perhaps unknown to even himself, Adel possessed the strange power to open portals between dimensions. This power attracted Dreyfus de Villepin, who masqueraded as an artist for the family in order to get closer to Adel and thus use his power to summon demons. His evil plot succeeded, and after opening a portal to Elyos and granting passage to the demon tribe of Arachnids the whole region of île de Frost was affected by a sinister curse. All inhabitants of the island were dominated by demonic spiders, becoming violent creatures of darkness.

Though Edel managed to defeat Countess Arachne, the leader of the demons, and close the gate, her brother who had been trapped between the worlds was sucked into the portal and ended up in another dimension. This caused Edel to embark on a journey to find him.

Story[]

Cursed Garden[]

When Edel noticed something was amiss and that the guards did not seem to recognize her upon arrival, she immediately considered seeking Adel.

Spectral Corridor[]

Before the poison took hold of him, Edel was warned by Schumacher that Adel was in danger and that Dreyfus had summoned the demons. Edel was able to lift the curse from the Guard Captain who afterward reassured her that he was well enough to fend them off, insisting that the lady pursue Dreyfus right away to save her brother.

Traitor's Art Room[]

Dreyfus told Edel that he had not betrayed the family and he had only come to the mansion to help Adel realize his true role as the key to the demon realm by using the master's ability to open pathways to other dimensions. Learning that Adel supposedly was trapped in the dimensional gate and that his safety could not be guaranteed once the gate closed, an enraged Edel engaged in a fierce fight with Dreyfus which ended with the traitor retreating into an empty portrait, vanishing.

Dark Library[]

Deep inside the mansion, Count Von Bacchantes suddenly appeared and attacked Edel, but not before directing her to the chamber where Adel was. Saddened that the one who cared for both her and Adel had begged to be knocked out, Edel rushed to his brother's quarters where Arachne's Nest lay, fearing that he had also turned into a demon.

Arachne's Nest[]

Countess Arachne attempted to deceive Edel as she was about to be slain by saying she would get Adel back from the gate, but was unsuccessful in catching Edel off guard and thus was vanquished. Since the gate had vanished with the Countess' death, Edel thought back to what Dreyfus had said that her brother had been sent elsewhere and returned to seek assistance from Serdin.

In the sequel[]

Act 40.9: Big Bang![]

Amal'thea met up with Edel at a discreet location as per her request and informed the woman that she needed to see a certain someone, pointing in the direction where Adel stood much to Edel's disbelief.

Act 43.7: An Ingenious Idea[]

When Edel felt terrible for betraying the Grand Chase and was furious about Ganymede's actions, the angel told her that the outcome would be the same regardless and that she should hurry as her brother did not have much time left.

Act 47.3: Enter the Celestial World[]

Adel observed that Edel was rather distant towards him, seemingly due to his new appearance as Jupiter. He recalled that in his memories, his sister always had a lovely smile and that she did not have to force herself into it, adding that they found each other awkward because they had been apart for so long. He assured Edel that everything would be all right and they would be together from then on, asking her sister to stay put before leaving with Ernasis.

Act 48.4: Jupiter[]

During the confrontation with Nepteon, the angel demanded that Adel stop pretending as Jupiter, engaging him in a tempestuous battle in the skies afterwards. Adel was visibly in pain from his injuries when he returned home where Edel came to his aid and had him rest on her shoulders, asking her brother not to hurt himself.
