Description

The ancient Asura were deities invoked by warriors while they meditated to soothe the violence within. These same gods were also called upon to push the ancient warriors' violent attacks to new levels of power. Though neither divine nor immortal, he who was called the "Asura" was an accomplished Fighter, a lion protecting the gods. Having willingly chosen the trial of defending the cruel, yet righteous gods while preserving peace and virtue in all the land, neither gods nor humans could find fault with him.

The last Asura sensed the gathering malignant forces and summoned the most distinguished warriors to bestow upon them his divine teachings to aid them in the coming maelstrom. His efforts were in vain, however, for the warriors had neither the strength of body nor the strength of mind to absorb his teachings. Those who did not die went mad.

Having been defeated by the Ascendant God, Asura prepared to meet his end. He announced his final holy edict and commanded that once a great warrior was found he should inherit the title of "Asura". Jin, having heeded the late Asura's call, took on the rigorous test of improving his mind and his fighting skills. Upon receiving the Asura's weapon, the Chamma, and the divine teachings, Jin became the Asura: the Divine Warrior.

With its lightweight and long reach, the Chamma is a highly efficient weapon that allows for speedy combos and thrusts, allowing one to attack enemies from a safe distance. Currently, Jin compensates for his close-range fighting, a rather weak point, with his quick moves and dodges. However, Asura not only possesses speed and long-range fighting abilities, but he also has a variety of attacks and evasive moves all stemming from his combo attacks.

The combination of the Burning skill and the Chamma gives Asura a special quality that allows for enhanced destructive power combined with restraint. The Chamma can be unequipped and foes small and large can be fought with fists. However, fighting with one's bare hands is less powerful than fighting with the Chamma, therefore fighting an enemy with high defense or high attack with the Chamma is much more effective.

Part 1

Run the Ruins of the Silver Knights once. Even if you do not successfully pass the dungeon, you will still complete the mission.
- Entering the dungeon and leaving immediately does not count as "running". It only counts if the dungeon is completed or failed.

Slay the Coral Fiend 4 times in Lake Aurora.

Part 3

Slay King Guang 5 times in King Guang's Fen.

Part 4

Slay 120 monsters within the range of ± 2 above or below level monsters.

Part 5

Investigate The Crucible 2 times.

Basic Movements

+	Jump Attack	Jin jumps up and swings his Chamma.
++	Asura Slam	Jin jumps up and slams his Chamma down to the ground.
	Dash	Jin dashes forward. Holding down the key causes him to run.
+	Air Dash	After jumping, Jin dashes in midair.
+	Dash Attack	While dashing, Jin spins his Chamma twice.
++ or ++	Spinning Crane Kick	While dashing or jumping, Jin performs a somersault kick upward, knocking the target into the air.
+	Shadow Dodge	Jin slips behind his target via shadow silhouette.
++	Roll	While dashing, Jin rolls forward.
	Chi Charge	Jin charges Chi for his Burning Gauge.
+	Grab	Jin pulls at his opponents using the Chamma and swings them around violently before slamming them onto the ground. Both players are invincible throughout the animation. (This only works in PvP and dungeon monsters cannot be grabbed. Due to lag, it may not work, or may intercept the opponent's attack/skill.)

Chi

Keystrokes	Name	Effect
+	Scorpion Sting	Jin fires a short-ranged horizontal beam from his Chamma. When used without Chi, Jin will simply strike forward with his Chamma.
++	Thrashing Dragon	While dashing, Jin swings his Chamma.
+	Storm Fist	Jin rushes forward and delivers a punch that knocks the opponent away.
	Chamma Throw	Jin throws his Chamma a short distance, inflicting stun if impacted. Afterward, Jin reverts to Fighter, retaining all his abilities except Specials (he gets a new 1 bar skill instead) and non-shared Skill Tree abilities. Jin can remain as Fighter for an indefinite time. Pressing the same command after 'Chamma Throw' causes Chamma Return, causing Jin to pull out another Chamma for use. There is a 7-second cooldown for this, though.
++	Rush	After performing Chamma Throw, Jin may rush forward and punch the target twice.

LVL 1 Basic	Asura Strike	Jin swings his Chamma upward twice.
LVL 2 Basic	Asura Slicer	Jin flips forward thrice, striking his Chamma down with each rotation, with the last hit ending in a final heavy strike. Similar to Druid's Titan Axe (Level 3) and Knight's Mega Slash (Level 3).
LVL 3 Basic	Asura Yang	Jin rapidly spins his Chamma before he plants his Chamma, springs vertically upward, and comes charging back down to earth with destructive force.
LVL 4 Special	Skyfall (Temple Strike) (Sky Imperial Declination)	Jin flings his Chamma into the air, leaping after it before smashing it into the ground. 6 lotus flowers made of Chi are created in Jin's vicinity and a lotus flower underneath each enemy within his field of vision, causing knock up and dealing damage.
FIGHTER
LVL 1 Basic	Howls of the Rising Sun	Jin rapidly spins sideways before performing an uppercut.

ASURA

LVL 1 Burning	Burning Asura Strike	An additional 2 strikes are added to the skill, and the skill is executed much faster.
LVL 2 Burning	Burning Asura Slicer	The 1st 2 attacks are changed to multiple swing attacks.
LVL 3 Burning	Burning Asura Yang	Jin springs himself diagonally instead of vertically. There are no damage increases but there are damage alterations.
FIGHTER
LVL 1 Burning	Burning Howls of the Rising Sun	Adds a low kick at the end of the spin.

Trivia

Asura is known as Monk on the Brazilian server.
- Asura is a member of a class of divine beings in the Vedic period, which is Indian mythology tends to be evil and in Zoroastrianism are benevolent.
  - In Grand Chase, the Asura likely alludes to Adityas known to be the good Asuras.
Asura is the only job that has skills labeled with the job name.
- It correlates to its background wherein Jin took up the divine teachings of the late Asura.
Asura is the only job that can get rid of the character's weapon.
- Oddly enough, Jin is still able to activate Skyfall even without the Chamma.
Asura is the only job of Jin that has no animal relation in the skills' names.
