Plouton was an ancient King and self-proclaimed god of death that once ruled over the Underworld.

Background[]

Plouton was renowned as the worst King of the Underworld after being ousted for treason against the Creator God. It is said that he wanted to be resurrected to fix the mistake he made when he was alive.

Story[]

Epilogue 6.3: Tower Manager[]

When she heard the Librarian utter the name Plouton as he stopped functioning, Mari asked Hwarin why that person had more authority than her and was told a bit about his past from what little the Queen knew before all the memories about the ancient King were deleted.

Epilogue 6.6: Casted Shadow of Greed[]

Having Kyle in his possession, Tristan alluded to the one who also challenged the Creator and revealed that the Tower of Memories was where his ruins were buried. As the Bounty Hunter tried to make use of the Creator's strength, he inadvertently resurrected Plouton and the power was taken by the King. When Hwarin presented herself to him, Plouton challenged the Queen to get his place back in the Underworld.

Epilogue 6.7: Crazy Envoy[]

Plouton engaged in a battle with the Grand Chase that ended in his defeat. In his final moments, the King loathed the fact that he waited thousands of years to resurrect only for a human to kill him.

Attacks[]

Plouton can be fought as a boss in Epilogue 6.7: Crazy Envoy.

As he continuously destroys the Tower of Memories, the King of the Underworld will summon a magic square. If someone gets hit, the magic square will not be summoned. Then he can select a card to summon soul knights. If a red card is selected, they hardly receive any physical attack, and if the ancient King chose a blue card, the soul knights get much less magic damage.

Plouton also summons magic squares near him invoking apparitions of himself. Every phantasm that manages to arrive at the King will gain a physical form.

Trivia[]

66 Yama

Yama's portrait.

  • Plouton's design is based on the pet Yama from the original game.
    • They are likely the same person as Yama is called the "Lord of the Dead" in his description.
  • Plouton is another name for the Greco-Roman god of the underworld, Pluto.
