Roose

The Great Roose Nation (Korean: 루즈 성국, Roose Holy Kingdom) or simply Roose is the Holy Kingdom not far from Bermesiah. It is a small island where people with great faith have gathered since the ancient times of Kounat and grew into a country as they fight back against the demons' invasions. The citizens of Roose learn and apply the divine will of the Three Goddesses, Ernasis, Lisnar, and Amenias, and claim they are more true to their faith than those in Kounat—even with the Celestials around.

The Holy Kingdom is ruled by the Pope and protected by the Knights of Roose Castle where Lime hail. Despite being on an island, Mari considered the place to be technologically advanced—one example is that they are utilizing pressure to lift underground water to the surface, and collecting energy to heat the water.

The Great Roose Nation commemorates the Goddesses each year with the Aernas Prayer Ceremony, the largest festival held in the country. Pilgrims go on a religious journey to gather all of the Soul Stones that were scattered across the world during the First Demon War then they return to purify them in the ceremony—believing that the Goddesses will also return by doing so. Everyone who participates in the purification ritual is handed Prayer Ceremony outfits meticulously sewn by a famous designer group, coupled with a white brooch that represents the sanctity of the Goddesses.

Residents[]

Pope St. Constantino: He is the emperor of Roose Kingdom and has been a faithful servant to the God of all beginnings for generations. After sensing the invasion of the Elyos tribes, he announced a Holy War and sent the Knights of Roose Castle to the continent of Bermesiah.
Lime Serenity: She is a Holy Knight in the Knights of Roose Castle. Lime joined the Grand Chase on behalf of the Holy Knights after she found out that they were also sealing off the Dimensional Portals.
Ruay: She is a resident of Roose who looks very much like Guild Manager Ruby, whom she claimed to be her cousin. Ruay guides the adventurers who come for the Aernas Prayer Ceremony. However, some are wary of how much she comes across as a salesman.
Cade: He is a resident of Roose who looks very much like Guild Officer Jade, whom he claimed to be his brother. Cade oversees patrons that wait in line for the purification ritual.

Trivia[]

According to Io, the world of Aernas would not be shackled to the cycles of life and death if mortals dwell on gratitude and teachings of the Goddess like the people of Roose do.
